7 Advertising Scholarships (November 2023)

The purpose of the PenSPRA Scholarship is to support Pennsylvania students pursuing a career in the communications field. Applicants must be Pennsylvania public high school students with a 3.0 GPA who are pursuing a degree in communications or a related field such as public relations, journalism, English, advertising or graphic arts. Students must have been accepted to or applied to a college, university, technical school or other institution of higher learning. Applicants must live within one of PenSPRA's three regions (Eastern, Central and Western).

The purpose of the Vern and Elaine Clark Outdoor Advertising Industry is to support undergraduate and graduate students who are pursuing a career in the outdoor advertising industry. Selection is primarily based on academic achievement, career goals and community involvement. Applicants must submit a letter of recommendation from someone in the outdoor advertising industry and a letter of recommendation addressing the applicant's community service.

The purpose of the Jim Springer Memorial Scholarship is to support full-time college sophomores, juniors or seniors majoring in public relations, marketing, advertising or communications, who are permanent residents of the CBCF seven-county service area. Applicants must be current college students at sophomore level or above.

The purpose of the LAGRANT Scholarship Program is to support minority students who are seeking degrees in advertising, graphic design, marketing or public relations. Applicants must be African American/Black, Asian American/Pacific Islander, Hispanic/Latino or Native American/Alaskan Native. Students must be U.S. citizens, permanent residents, AB-540 students or DACA recipients. Applicants must be full-time students at an accredited four-year institution in the U.S. A minimum 3.0 GPA or higher is required. Students must submit an essay with their application.

The purpose of the AAF Student ADDY Awards is to support students interested in advertising. Applicants must be enrolled in an accredited U.S. institution of higher learning full- or part-time. Students must submit an advertising project created for the competition or from a previous unpaid project or competition. Work must have been created while the applicant was a student or intern but not employed in advertising.

The purpose of the FOARE Scholarship Program is to support undergraduate and graduate students in pursuing a career in the outdoor advertising industry. Applicants must be graduating seniors, undergraduate students or graduate students. Selection is primarily based on demonstration of financial need, career goals, academic achievement, community service and extracurricular involvement.

The purpose of the Harold K. Douthit Scholarship is to support students pursuing a major in a journalism-related field at an Ohio college or university. Applicants must be enrolled in an Ohio college or university and be majoring in a journalism-related field such as journalism, advertising or marketing. Students must have at least a 3.0 GPA and write an essay as part of their application showcasing their writing skill along with including work samples related to degree.
