The purpose of the Predoctoral Fellowship Program is to support advanced graduate research in the history, theory and criticism of art, architecture and urbanism. Applicants for predoctoral fellowships must be nominated by the chair of the graduate department of art history or other appropriate departments. Applicants must have completed all departmental requirements, including course work, residency and general and preliminary examinations. Certification in two languages other than English is required. Applicants should submit nomination forms, supporting letters from two individuals and writing samples. There are various fellowships. The David E. Finley Fellowship requires applicants have a significant interest in curatorial work. The Paul Mellon Fellowship is for the completion of a doctoral dissertation in Western art. The Samuel H. Kress Fellowship is for the completion of a doctoral dissertation in European art on a topic before the early nineteenth century. The Wyeth Fellowship is for the completion of a doctoral dissertation that concerns aspects of art of the United States, including native and pre-Revolutionary America. The Ittleson Fellowship is for the completion of a doctoral dissertation in the visual arts in a field other than Western art. The Andrew W. Mellon Fellowship is for the completion of a doctoral dissertation in cross-cultural studies or in a field other than Western art through the twentieth century. The Robert H. and Clarice Smith Fellowship is for research on Northern European art between 1400 and 1700, intended for the advancement or completion of either a doctoral dissertation or a resulting publication. The Chester Dale Fellowships are for the advancement or completion of a doctoral dissertation in any area of Western art, with a preference for modern and contemporary topics. The Center offers a Paul Mellon Postdoctoral Fellowship for recipients of the David E. Finley, Paul Mellon, Samuel H. Kress, Wyeth, Ittleson, Andrew W. Mellon and two-year Chester Dale fellowships if the dissertation has been accepted by June 1 of the residence year. Several candidates for each fellowship will be invited to Washington for interviews.

The purpose of the H.M. Muffly Memorial Scholarship is to aid nursing students working towards bachelor's, master's or doctoral degrees. Applicants must be Colorado residents who are planning to practice nursing in Colorado. They must be juniors or seniors working towards the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN); Registered Nurses (RNs) pursuing the bachelor's degree or higher in a school of nursing; practicing RNs pursuing a doctoral degree in nursing or second- or third-year Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) students. Undergraduates must have a GPA of 3.25 or higher, and graduate students must have a GPA of 3.5 or higher. Selection is based on GPA, financial need, recommendations, community involvement and commitment to professional practice in Colorado.

The purpose of the Josephine De Karman Fellowship is to recognize students who demonstrate academic achievement. Applicants must be Ph.D. candidates nearing completion of their degree (must defend their dissertation in the next school year) at a California institution. Applicants may not be post-doctoral students. Special consideration is given to doctoral students in the humanities. The award is open to international students living in the U.S.

The purpose of the Larson Aquatic Research Support (LARS) is to support doctoral and master's students interested in careers in the fields of corrosion control, treatment and distribution of domestic and industrial water supplies, aquatic chemistry and/or environmental chemistry. Applicants must pursue an advanced (master's or doctoral) degree at an institution of higher education located in Canada, Guam, Puerto Rico, Mexico or the U.S. Applications, resumes, transcripts, GRE scores, three recommendation letters and a course of study are required. Master's students also must submit a statement of educational plans and career objectives or a research plan. Ph.D. students must submit research plans. The master's grant is $5,000, and the doctoral grant is $7,000. The award is based on academics and leadership.

The purpose of the Graduate Fellowship for STEM Diversity is to increase the number of American citizens with graduate degrees in the physical sciences and related engineering fields, emphasizing recruitment of a diverse applicant pool. Applicants must be graduate students in physical science, U.S. citizens, available to accept two summers of paid internship with a government agency and must not already possess a doctoral degree. Students may also be nominated directly by a NPSC member employer.

The purpose of the Power Life Sciences Scholarship is to support talented students who are passionate about biomedical and biopharmaceutical innovation. Applicants must be high school, undergraduate, masters or doctoral students enrolled in a U.S. based high school, college or university or undergraduate, masters or doctoral students who are 18 years of age or older enrolled in a non-U.S. based college or university. Students must be able to critically analyze real clinical trial data.

The purpose of the United Methodist General Scholarship is to support students who are members of a United Methodist Church. Applicants must be active, full members of a United Methodist Church for at least one year prior to applying, be admitted to a full-time degree program in an accredited college or university and have a minimum 2.5 GPA. Students must also be U.S. citizens or permanent residents and be undergraduate, graduate or doctoral students. Supporting documents are due by May 1.

The purpose of the APF/COGDOP Graduate Student Scholarships is to assist graduate students of psychology with research costs associated with the master’s thesis or doctoral dissertation. Applicants must be graduate students enrolled in an interim master’s program or doctoral program. Students currently enrolled in a terminal master’s program must intend to enroll in a PhD program. Applicants at any stage of graduate study are encouraged to apply and must be enrolled in the graduate program at the time grants are awarded.

The purpose of the American Nurses' Foundation Grant is to support research career development of nurses exploring new fields of study. Applicants must be registered nurses with current licenses. A minimum of a master's degree or current enrollment in a doctoral program is required. Applicants must submit a clinical nursing research application package. Applicants will be evaluated on the quality of research, budget of the proposal and the future promise of the applicant. Preference will be given to Sigma Theta Tau International members when proposals are otherwise equal.

The purpose of the AGU Congressional Science Fellowship is to support applicants who are interested in working in the House or Senate with the opportunity to assist members of the House and Senate for one year. Applicants must be members of the American Geophysical Union. Applicants must be citizens or permanent residents of the United States. Applicants should have a strong background in science. Applicants should be strong communicators, articulate, flexible and able to work on a variety of public policy problems with people from diverse backgrounds. Applicants should have finished any doctoral work before the start of the fellowship due to time restraints during the program.

The purpose of the Kathryn D. Sullivan Earth and Marine Science Fellowship is to aid graduate students who are studying the natural sciences, technology or engineering. Applicants must be U.S. citizens and be either full-time graduate students enrolled in an accredited consortium member institution or a successful applicant for full time admission to a Masters or Doctorate program in an accredited consortium member institution. Selection is based on recommendation letters, academic merit, faculty sponsorship and stated academic goals and interests in science, technology and engineering.

The purpose of the AICPA Fellowship for Minority Doctoral Students is to support minority students who demonstrate significant potential to become accounting educators. Applicants must be minority full-time students who have applied to a doctoral program or have been accepted to a doctoral program and plan to pursue the CPA exam.

The purpose of the NDSEG Fellowship Program is to award fellowships to those in science and engineering. Applicants must pursue a doctoral degree in an area of Department of Defense interest: aeronautical and astronautical engineering, biosciences, chemical engineering, chemistry, civil engineering, cognitive, neural and behavioral sciences, computer and computational sciences, electrical engineering, geosciences, materials science and engineering, mathematics, mechanical engineering, naval architecture and ocean engineering, oceanography and physics. Applicants must have completed no more than one academic year of graduate study as a part-time or full-time student or be in their final year of undergraduate studies. The award is based on academic achievement, personal statements, recommendations and Graduate Record Examination scores. Fellowships may be used only at U.S. institutions of higher education offering doctoral degrees.

The purpose of the Norman S. Baldwin Fishery Science Scholarship is to promote the study of Great Lakes fisheries. Applicants must be master's or doctoral students whose proposed research topic is relevant to Great Lakes fishery research. Students must submit an abstract of a proposed research project, curriculum vitae and letter of endorsement along with their application.

The purpose of the Pryor Fellowships is to assist alumni and graduate Alpha Chi members who are seeking doctoral, master's or first professional degrees. Applicants must be Alpha Chi members or alumni who are enrolled or planning to enroll full-time in a doctoral, terminal master's or first professional degree program.

The purpose of the Mary Isabel Sibley Fellowship is to support students who are interested in studying Greek language or literature. Applicants must be unmarried women between the ages of 25 to 35 who are accomplished in original research. Students must have a doctorate degree or satisfied all the requirements except the dissertation and plan to work full-time in research during the fellowship year. Applicants do not need to be members of Phi Beta Kappa.

The purpose of the APF/ National Register Internship Travel Stipend Fund is to support applicants from doctoral programs in psychology to travel to APPIC listed internship sites for pre-selection interviews. Applicants must be from doctoral programs that are accredited by the American Psychological Association’s Commission on Accreditation (CoA) or the Canadian Psychological Association (CPA). Students must be traveling to a pre-selection interview for an Association of Psychology Postdoctoral and Internship Centers (APPIC) listed interview. Preference will be given to applicants who are traveling to interviews for internships with an emphasis on social justice or the training of psychologists as health service providers.

The purpose of the International Teacher Education Scholarship Program is to assist international women teachers-in-training to complete their final year of training in the U.S. Applicants must be single women with no dependents, between 20 and 35 years of age. Eligibility is restricted to non-U.S. citizens living outside the U.S. Applicants must have received an undergraduate degree and be eligible to receive a master's degree. However, the program is not intended for doctoral students. Students must intend to enter the field of teaching or be engaged in the teaching profession.

The purpose of the Sigma Small Grants is to encourage nurses to contribute to the advancement of nursing through research. Applicants must hold a current registered nurse license and hold a master's or doctoral degree. Students must complete a research application package and sign the research agreement. Preference is given to Sigma Theta Tau members, other qualifications being equal.

The purpose of the George H. Nofer Scholarship for Law and Public Policy is to assist graduate students with a moderate to profound hearing loss. Applicants must attend or be accepted to attend full-time an accredited law school or a master's or doctoral program in public policy or public administration and must use spoken language as the primary mode of communication. Students must also have a pre-lingual and bilateral hearing loss. Applications are available online.

The purpose of the AFPE Pre-doctoral Fellowship in the Pharmaceutical Sciences is to support medical students pursuing a career in pharmaceutical sciences. Applicants must be U.S. citizens and be enrolled full-time in a graduate Ph.D. program in pharmaceutical science.

The purpose of the Creative Biolabs is to support students pursuing medical and science-related education. Applicants must be enrolled as a freshman, undergraduate, graduate or doctoral student at an accredited college or university. Students must be pursuing a major in a science-related field. Applicants must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher. Students must submit an application, a transcript and an essay. Selection criteria includes GPA, learning plan, leadership ability and social concerns.

The purpose of the ChiroHealthUSA Foxworth Family Scholarship is to support students studying chiropractic health. Applicants must be full-time students enrolled in a doctorate of chiropractic program at an accredited U.S. institution and hold a minimum 2.7 GPA. Students must provide two recommendations along with their application.

The purpose of the American Library Association Century Scholarship is to support library students with disabilities. Applicants must be U.S. or Canadian citizens with disabilities admitted to an ALA-accredited school studying for a master's or doctorate in library science. Students must provide medical documentation of their disability and services needed for their studies. Applicants must demonstrate financial need.

The purpose of the NATA Scholarship is to encourage study among athletic trainers. Applicants must be at least a junior in college and scholarships are available for undergraduate, master's and doctoral levels. Students must have a minimum 3.2 GPA and be sponsored by a certified athletic trainer and be a member of the NATA. There is an earlier deadline to start the application online.
