The purpose of the Larson Aquatic Research Support (LARS) is to support doctoral and master's students interested in careers in the fields of corrosion control, treatment and distribution of domestic and industrial water supplies, aquatic chemistry and/or environmental chemistry. Applicants must pursue an advanced (master's or doctoral) degree at an institution of higher education located in Canada, Guam, Puerto Rico, Mexico or the U.S. Applications, resumes, transcripts, GRE scores, three recommendation letters and a course of study are required. Master's students also must submit a statement of educational plans and career objectives or a research plan. Ph.D. students must submit research plans. The master's grant is $5,000, and the doctoral grant is $7,000. The award is based on academics and leadership.

The purpose of the Student Traineeship is to support students in pursuit of cystic fibrosis training and research. Applicants must be students in or about to enter into a doctoral program related to cystic fibrosis research. Senior level undergraduate students planning to pursue graduate training in CF may also apply. International applicants are required to submit additional information upon application.

The purpose of the H.M. Muffly Memorial Scholarship is to aid nursing students working towards bachelor's, master's or doctoral degrees. Applicants must be Colorado residents who are planning to practice nursing in Colorado. They must be juniors or seniors working towards the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN); Registered Nurses (RNs) pursuing the bachelor's degree or higher in a school of nursing; practicing RNs pursuing a doctoral degree in nursing or second- or third-year Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) students. Undergraduates must have a GPA of 3.25 or higher, and graduate students must have a GPA of 3.5 or higher. Selection is based on GPA, financial need, recommendations, community involvement and commitment to professional practice in Colorado.

The purpose of the Huntington Fellowships is to provide fellowships to doctoral students and recipients in British and American history, literature, art history and the history of science and medicine. Applicants must have a Ph.D. or equivalent or be doctoral candidates at the dissertation stage. Cover sheets, project descriptions, curriculum vitae and three letters of recommendation are required.

The purpose of the Minority Student Scholarship is to support a minority graduate student in communication sciences and disorders. Applicants should be full-time minority graduate students. Master's degree candidates must be in programs accredited by the Council on Academic Accreditation for Audiology and Speech Pathology, but doctoral programs do not have to be accredited. Transcripts, an essay and a reference form are required.

The purpose of the Winterthur Research Fellowship Program is to support students interested in conducting material culture research. Applicants must be graduate students who have completed their Ph.D. or doctoral candidates conducting research or writing their dissertation. Areas of study include material culture studies, social and cultural history, art history. literary studies, American studies, design history, the decorative arts, landscape architecture and design, consumer culture, and conservation studies. Selection is based on the research project's suitability to Winterthur's collections and the strength of the overall application.

The purpose of the Antonio Cirino Memorial Award is to support Rhode Island students who are pursuing careers in art education. Applicants must demonstrate an interest in learning about and practicing art. Preference will be given to visual artists. Students must be enrolled or planning to enroll in a master's or doctoral program that will lead to a career in art education.

The purpose of the International Teacher Education Scholarship Program is to assist international women teachers-in-training to complete their final year of training in the U.S. Applicants must be single women with no dependents, between 20 and 35 years of age. Eligibility is restricted to non-U.S. citizens living outside the U.S. Applicants must have received an undergraduate degree and be eligible to receive a master's degree. However, the program is not intended for doctoral students. Students must intend to enter the field of teaching or be engaged in the teaching profession.

The purpose of the Diversity Fellowship Program is to promote diversity in political science. Applicants must be first or second-year graduate students enrolled in a political science doctoral program. Students must be a member of one of the following racial/ethnic groups: African American, Asian Pacific American, Latino or Native American. Applicants must be U.S. citizens, permanent residents or granted deferred action status at the time of application. Students must demonstrate an interest in teaching and research in political science.

The purpose of the APF/ National Register Internship Travel Stipend Fund is to support applicants from doctoral programs in psychology to travel to APPIC listed internship sites for pre-selection interviews. Applicants must be from doctoral programs that are accredited by the American Psychological Association’s Commission on Accreditation (CoA) or the Canadian Psychological Association (CPA). Students must be traveling to a pre-selection interview for an Association of Psychology Postdoctoral and Internship Centers (APPIC) listed interview. Preference will be given to applicants who are traveling to interviews for internships with an emphasis on social justice or the training of psychologists as health service providers.

The purpose of the NAEd/Spencer Dissertation Fellowship Program is to support students in a variety of disciplines who are writing dissertations that show promising ways to improve education. Applicants must be doctoral candidates at a graduate school in the United States. Students must verify that they will be able to finish all pre-dissertation requirements before beginning the fellowship and describe their plan for completing their dissertation within one to two years. Selection is based on the research question's importance in relation to education and the overall quality of the provided research and work plan.

The purpose of the Theodore Roosevelt Memorial Fund Grant is to support researchers and research doctoral students research projects of North American fauna in any phase of wildlife conservation or natural history. Applicants must be able to use the grant funding between July 1 and June 30 of the following year.

The purpose of the Nursing Economics Foundation Scholarship is to support registered nurses in a master's or doctoral nursing program in administration or management for the upcoming school year. Applicants must be enrolled or entering an accredited master's or doctoral nursing degree program. Students must be registered nurses (RN).

The purpose of the Targeted Grant for Research Directed at Poor and Underserved Populations-Postdoctoral Fellowship is to support doctoral-level students who are interested in pursuing research specific to poor and underserved populations. Applicants must focus their research project on poor or underserved populations and address a variety of preclinical, clinical, cancer control, behavioral, epidemiologic, health policy, health services and basic questions in cancer biology. Applicants for American Cancer Society grants and awards must at the time of application be United States citizens, noncitizen nationals, or permanent residents of the United States.

The purpose of the AFPE Pre-doctoral Fellowship in the Pharmaceutical Sciences is to support medical students pursuing a career in pharmaceutical sciences. Applicants must be U.S. citizens and be enrolled full-time in a graduate Ph.D. program in pharmaceutical science.

The purpose of the William (Bill) Ezzell Scholarship is to support accounting Ph.D. candidates who demonstrate significant potential to become mentors for the next generation of CPAs. Applicants must have a minimum of three years of professional accounting experience and earned an undergraduate or a master's degree in accounting. Students must be CPAs and U.S. citizens or permanent residents. Applicants must have either applied to a full-time accounting Ph.D. program and are awaiting word on acceptance, received acceptance into a full-time accounting Ph.D. program or matriculated into a full-time accounting doctoral program and pursuing appropriate coursework.

The purpose of the NDSEG Fellowship Program is to award fellowships to those in science and engineering. Applicants must pursue a doctoral degree in an area of Department of Defense interest: aeronautical and astronautical engineering, biosciences, chemical engineering, chemistry, civil engineering, cognitive, neural and behavioral sciences, computer and computational sciences, electrical engineering, geosciences, materials science and engineering, mathematics, mechanical engineering, naval architecture and ocean engineering, oceanography and physics. Applicants must have completed no more than one academic year of graduate study as a part-time or full-time student or be in their final year of undergraduate studies. The award is based on academic achievement, personal statements, recommendations and Graduate Record Examination scores. Fellowships may be used only at U.S. institutions of higher education offering doctoral degrees.

The purpose of the Henry Belin du Pont Dissertation Fellowship is to provide four-month fellowships for doctoral students performing dissertation research. Applicants must be doctoral students who have completed all course work and are performing dissertation research. Research topics should involve historical questions and should relate to the collections in the Hagley Library. Fellows will receive housing, office space, a computer and Internet access. A presentation is required at the end of the residence period.

The purpose of the Edilia and Francois-Auguste de Montequin Fellowship is to support graduate students with travel related to research in Spanish, Portugal or Ibero-American architecture. Applicants must be junior scholars working on doctoral dissertation research or senior scholars who've completed their Ph.D. programs or equivalent. Students must focus projects on Spanish, Portuguese or Ibero-American architecture, including colonial architecture produced by Spaniards in the Philippines. Applicants must be current SAH members.

The purpose of the Elizabeth Munsterberg Koppitz Child Psychology Graduate Student Fellowship is to support graduate research projects in child psychology. Applicants must have completed doctoral candidacy at the time of application. Students must demonstrate research competence and area commitment.

The purpose of the National Student Nurses' Association Scholarship is to promote interest in the nursing field. Applicants must be currently enrolled in a state-approved school of nursing or pre-nursing in associate degree, baccalaureate, diploma, doctorate or master's programs.

The purpose of the NATA Scholarship is to encourage study among athletic trainers. Applicants must be at least a junior in college and scholarships are available for undergraduate, master's and doctoral levels. Students must have a minimum 3.2 GPA and be sponsored by a certified athletic trainer and be a member of the NATA. There is an earlier deadline to start the application online.

The purpose of the Norman S. Baldwin Fishery Science Scholarship is to promote the study of Great Lakes fisheries. Applicants must be master's or doctoral students whose proposed research topic is relevant to Great Lakes fishery research. Students must submit an abstract of a proposed research project, curriculum vitae and letter of endorsement along with their application.

The purpose of the Predoctoral Fellowship Program is to support advanced graduate research in the history, theory and criticism of art, architecture and urbanism. Applicants for predoctoral fellowships must be nominated by the chair of the graduate department of art history or other appropriate departments. Applicants must have completed all departmental requirements, including course work, residency and general and preliminary examinations. Certification in two languages other than English is required. Applicants should submit nomination forms, supporting letters from two individuals and writing samples. There are various fellowships. The David E. Finley Fellowship requires applicants have a significant interest in curatorial work. The Paul Mellon Fellowship is for the completion of a doctoral dissertation in Western art. The Samuel H. Kress Fellowship is for the completion of a doctoral dissertation in European art on a topic before the early nineteenth century. The Wyeth Fellowship is for the completion of a doctoral dissertation that concerns aspects of art of the United States, including native and pre-Revolutionary America. The Ittleson Fellowship is for the completion of a doctoral dissertation in the visual arts in a field other than Western art. The Andrew W. Mellon Fellowship is for the completion of a doctoral dissertation in cross-cultural studies or in a field other than Western art through the twentieth century. The Robert H. and Clarice Smith Fellowship is for research on Northern European art between 1400 and 1700, intended for the advancement or completion of either a doctoral dissertation or a resulting publication. The Chester Dale Fellowships are for the advancement or completion of a doctoral dissertation in any area of Western art, with a preference for modern and contemporary topics. The Center offers a Paul Mellon Postdoctoral Fellowship for recipients of the David E. Finley, Paul Mellon, Samuel H. Kress, Wyeth, Ittleson, Andrew W. Mellon and two-year Chester Dale fellowships if the dissertation has been accepted by June 1 of the residence year. Several candidates for each fellowship will be invited to Washington for interviews.

The purpose of the Rosemary Berkel Crisp Research Award is to award students interested in nursing research that focuses on women's health, oncology and pediatrics. Applicants must be a registered nurse with current license, a member of Sigma Theta Tau International and possess a master's or doctoral degree or be enrolled in a doctoral program. Students must be ready to begin research once funding is received and complete the project within a year of funding. Applications must be submitted online. Selection is based on the overall strength of the application.
