12 Transcript-Required Scholarships (May 2024)

The purpose of the Actuarial Diversity Scholarship is to promote diversity through an annual scholarship program for African American, Hispanic and Native American Indian students and encourage academic achievements by awarding scholarships to full-time undergraduate and graduate students pursuing a degree in the actuarial profession. Applicants must have at least one birth parent who is a member of one of the minority groups listed and a minimum GPA of 3.0. High school seniors must have a minimum ACT math score of 28 or SAT math score of 620. An award will be provided in the recipient's name to any accredited U.S. educational institution to cover educational expenses. An application, a personal statement, a letter of recommendation and official or unofficial school transcripts are accepted.

The purpose of the AMS Graduate Fellowship in the History of Science is to support students writing dissertations on the history of atmospheric or related oceanic or hydrologic sciences. Applicants must be graduate students who plan to write dissertations on the history of atmospheric or related oceanic or hydrologic sciences. Students must submit a cover letter with vitae, official transcripts, a typed description of the dissertation topic and three letters of recommendation.

The purpose of the Bill and Carolyn Moon Scholarship is to assist Truck Stop Operators industry employees and their families. Applicants must be Truck Stop Operators industry employees or their family members and must submit applications, essays, recommendation letters, transcripts and financial information. The award is based on academic merit, financial need, community activities and essays.

The purpose of the Safe Driving Scholarship is to support students who write about safe driving practices. Applicants must be high school seniors or enrolled in a college or university in the United States. Students must have a minimum 3.0 GPA. An essay on a provided prompt, resume and transcript are required.

The purpose of the Christopher Mark Pitkin Memorial Scholarship is to support students with bleeding disorders in pursuing post-secondary education. Applicants must be accepted into an educational institution. Students must reside in one of the following counties: Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino, San Luis Obispo, Ventura, Kern or Santa Barbara.Applicants must submit letters of recommendation, official transcripts and an application detailing their education goals.

The purpose of the Merchants Exchange of Portland Scholarship is to support students seeking a maritime field career. Applicants must be current juniors or seniors at a four-year college or university, freshmen or sophomores in a two-year degree program, students in a U.S. Coast Guard-approved training program or graduate students in Maritime affairs or international trade. Students must have a minimum GPA of 2.5 and provide transcripts, essays and a letter of recommendation.

The purpose of the Youth Scholarship is to help students who plan to pursue a career in the technical aspects of broadcasting. Applicants must be graduating high school seniors who plan to enroll in a technical school, college or university and should pursue studies leading to a career in broadcasting engineering or a related field. Preference is given to members of SBE, but any student may apply. Applicants should submit applications, transcripts, biographies and statements. Recipients must write a paper about broadcast engineering.

The purpose of the IFSEA Worthy Goal Scholarship is to help students receive food service management training beyond the high school level. Applicants must be enrolled or accepted at a college as a full-time student in a food service related major. Students must provide a financial statement, personal statement, list of work experience and professional activities, transcripts, recommendations and a statement describing how the scholarship would help them reach their goals.

The purpose of the Kappa Kappa Iota Scholarship is to assist high school seniors in Elk City Public Schools or Canute Public Schools. Applicants must plan to major in education. A transcript, resume and cover letter are required.

The purpose of the Richard R. Tufenkian Memorial Scholarship is to support Armenian undergraduate students. Applicants must be full-time undergraduate students of Armenian descent at U.S. universities, have a minimum 3.0 GPA, demonstrate financial need and be involved in the Armenian community. Tax returns, transcripts, two reference letters, essays and applications are required.

The purpose of the Lawn Love Creating Leaders Scholarship is to support students interested in being entrepreneurs, business owners and leaders of the future. Applicants must be a current full time students with a minimum 3.0 GPA and a passion for business. Students must submit a copy of their student ID, transcript and an essay on a provided prompt.

The purpose of the Pedro Zamora Young Leaders Scholarship is to support students with a commitment to ending HIV/AIDS. Applicants must complete the application with a personal statement and a written essay describing their service or leadership in the fight against HIV/AIDS. Students must provide a letter of recommendation and transcripts demonstrating a minimum grade point average of 2.5.
