4 Agriculture Scholarships (May 2024)

The purpose of the Schmidt-Yeager Scholarship is to support adult students continuing their college education. Applicants must be Luce Township residents who have earned at least eighteen college credits within the past ten years. A minimum GPA of 2.0 from previous college coursework is required. Students must be pursuing a degree in agriculture or healthcare from an accredited educational institution. Graduates of South Spencer High School may be eligible if there is an insufficient amount of applicants from Luce Township.

The purpose of the Cedarcrest Farms Scholarship is to aid American Jersey Cattle Association members studying dairy product marketing, large animal veterinary practice, dairy manufacturing or dairy production. Applicants must be AJCA members studying dairy manufacturing, dairy product marketing, dairy production or large animal veterinary practice at the undergraduate or graduate level. They must have a GPA of 2.5 or above and must plan to pursue a career in agriculture. Selection is based on the overall strength of the application.

The purpose of the Alpha Gamma Rho Educational Foundation is to support male students who are majoring in agriculture. Applicants must be current FFA members and high school seniors or college students planning to enroll or currently enrolled full-time. Students must enroll in a college which has an Alpha Gamma Rho chapter, and they should be pursuing a four-year degree in any field related to agriculture. Applicants planning to major in aviation, hospitality or any non-agriculture subject are not eligible to apply. Students only need to complete the online application one time to be considered for all FFA-administered scholarships. The application requires information about the student's activities and a 1,000-word essay. Awards may be used for books, supplies, tuition, fees and room and board.

The purpose of the Ivomec Generations of Excellence Internship and Scholarship Program is to aid Texas students who are preparing for careers in the beef industry. Applicants must be permanent residents of Texas and be graduate students or rising undergraduate juniors or seniors who are enrolled at a Texas college or university. They must be majoring in agriculture or a related subject, must have a background in beef cattle and have a GPA of 2.5 or higher. Selection is based on the overall strength of the application.
