10 Arts Scholarships (May 2024)

The purpose of the Creative Arts/Design Scholarship is to support students who are pursuing a degree in creative arts or design. Applicants must be accepted for enrollment or enrolled at an accredited educational institution. Students must submit a design portfolio. Selection is primarily based on demonstration of financial need, career goals, academic achievement, community service and extracurricular involvement.

The purpose of the Rising Bud Scholarship is to support female high school seniors pursuing a degree in an art field. Applicants must be female high-school seniors pursuing an undergraduate degree in art at a college or university in one of the following areas: applied arts (creative literature/writing, decorative art, design, fashion design, fine arts, graphic design or industrial design), cinematic arts (animation, audio/sound or film-making), performing arts (dance, music, step or theater) or visual arts (animation, architecture, audio/sound, ceramics, computer art, crafts, design, drawing, film-making, illustration, painting, photography, printmaking, video or visual communications). Students must be from a low income household earning a combined income that is less than $45,000 a year. A personal statement on a provided topic is required to be submitted.

The purpose of the GoFoodservice Scholarship is to support the next generation of chefs and restaurant managers. Applicants must be graduating high school seniors enrolling in post-secondary education or students already enrolled in a college or accredited institution. Students must be majoring in culinary arts or hospitality management and must submit an essay along with the application.

The purpose of the Helen Gee Chin Scholarship Foundation Scholarship is to promote academic achievement and inspire individuals to become students of the Chinese martial arts. Applicants must be a U.S. citizen, plan to attend an accredited U.S. four year college or university as a full-time student for the entire academic year and have a B GPA. Applicants must have studied for at least five years one or more of the Chinese martial arts including Kung Fu, Wu Shu or Tai Chi. Selection is based on achievement in academics and martial arts, recommendations, work experience, educational and career goals and leadership in school and community activities.

The purpose of the Starfleet Scholarships is to assist members of the International Star Trek Fan Association. Applicants must have been members of Starfleet for at least one year prior to applying and must be attending or planning to attend a community college, four-year college, technical school, junior college or graduate school. Awards are given in the categories of medicine, engineering, performing arts, international studies, business, science, education, writing, law enforcement and general studies.

The purpose of the Alliance Recruitment Scholarship Program is to assist students pursuing a number of different fields. Applicants must be permanent residents of Australia, the U.S. or Canada and high school graduates currently enrolled as undergraduate or graduate students at an accredited university seeking a degree in human resources, gaming, marketing, accounting, graphic web design, mobile application development, visual arts, interior design, real estate, engineering or medicine. Students must have a minimum 3.0 GPA and finished at least one term of courses and have no gaps in their education.

The purpose of the Republic of Art Scholarship is to support minority or LGBTQ students interested in STEM or the Arts. Applicants must be a minority or LGBTQ. Students must be high school or college students interested in STEM or the Arts. An essay on a provided prompt must be submitted.

The purpose of the Against The Grain Artistic Scholarship is to support Asian American students pursuing degrees in visual or performing arts. Applicants must be at least 25 percent Asian and/or Pacific Islander ethnicity and citizens or national or legal permanent residents of the U.S. Students must be high school seniors or current college students enrolled full-time at an accredited U.S. vocational, community or four-year college or university. Applicants must be pursuing majors in visual or performing arts and have a minimum 3.0 GPA. Students must demonstrate leadership abilities through community service, extracurricular or other activities.

The purpose of the Rise Up Baking Scholarship is to encourage students pursuing a professional career in baking and pastry arts. Applicants must be accepted or enrolled to a baking and pastry arts program at a US-accredited post-secondary institution, college or university as a part-time or full-time first-year undergraduate student. Students must be legal citizens of the United States and have a minimum 3.0 GPA. An essay is required on a provided prompt.

The purpose of the Leslie B. Durst Scholarship is to support graduating seniors from the Vancouver School of Arts and Academics in pursuing a degree in the arts. Applicants must intend on enrolling full-time at an accredited educational institution to pursue a degree in fine arts, literary arts, moving image arts, music, dance or theater. A minimum GPA of 2.5 is required. Selection is based on the overall strength of the application.
