The purpose of the Walter Byers Graduate Scholarship is to encourage academic excellence of student athletes by recognizing outstanding academic achievement and success in postgraduate studies. Applicants must have a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher in their undergraduate work and have competed in intercollegiate athletics at a NCAA member institution as a member of a varsity team.
