8 Counseling Scholarships (April 2026)

The purpose of the Jackie Harrigan Haase Memorial Scholarship Fund is to support graduating seniors from San Dieguito Union High School District who are pursuing a career in nursing, the medical field, counseling, psychology or special education. Preference is given to students who have been in special education.

The purpose of the David and Sharon Alexander Scholarship is to support Colorado students pursuing degrees in education. Applicants must be Colorado residents and identify within the LGBTQ+ community. Students must be pursuing a degree in education, higher education, counseling, school psychology, social work, special education or a teaching certificate at an accredited institution of higher education in the state of Colorado. Applicants must demonstrate financial need.

The purpose of the Banatao Filipino American Education Fund is to help school students of Filipino heritage in pursuing a college education. Applicants for the college scholarship should be high school seniors of at least half Filipino heritage with a GPA of at least a 3.0 who will enroll at four-year colleges or universities and plan to major in engineering, computer science or physical sciences (health professionals such as doctors and nurses not included). Each scholarship is renewable up to three years based on satisfactory academic performance in a full-time undergraduate program. Awards are for undergraduate study only and are based on potential, motivation and financial need. Applicants must be residents of one of the following counties: Alameda, Contra Costa, Marin, Merced, Monterey, Napa, Sacramento, San Francisco, San Joaquin, San Mateo, Santa Clara, Santa Cruz, Solano, Sonoma or Stanislaus. Applicants for the college prep scholarship must be high school juniors of at least half Filipino heritage with a GPA of 3.0 who plan to attend four-year colleges or universities and are interested in SAT preparation and college admissions counseling. Students should have an interest in engineering, math or science and be residents of one of the following counties: Alameda, Contra Costa, Marin, Napa, San Francisco, San Joaquin, San Mateo, Santa Clara, Solano or Sonoma.

The purpose of the Vince Beck Five Point Scholarship is to assist students in the Sioux Falls area. Applicants must be graduating seniors of Canton High School who plan to attend an accredited college, university or vocational or technical school. Students must be involved in school and community activities and demonstrate financial need. Preference will be given to students planning to pursue a career in agriculture, wildlife conservation, veterinary medicine, law enforcement or youth counseling.

The purpose of the Scholarship for Professional Counselors is to help students who attend or are planning to attend Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. Applicants must demonstrate exceptional promise for counseling ministry upon graduation from Gordon-Conwell and will reflect the seminary's commitment to advance Christ's kingdom in every sphere of life in service to the church. Students must have a degree in psychology or sociology or must be a senior planning to graduate with a degree in one of these fields.

The purpose of the North Dakota School Counseling Association is to support North Dakota students pursuing post-secondary education. Applicants must be graduating seniors from a North Dakota high school. Students must submit an application signed by their school counselor, write an essay and provide a letter of recommendation.

The purpose of the Ann Wade Strength in Education Scholarship is to support Oklahoma high school seniors pursuing a degree within the K-12 education field. Applicants must be Oklahoma high school seniors planning to pursue a degree within the K-12 education field. Students must be pursuing a certified degree in education or directly support the education system which includes but is not limited to the following: teaching, school administration, counseling, librarian, child psychology, occupational therapy (speech, learning disabilities, etc.), dietician or music instruction.

The purpose of the Security Benefit Strength in Education Scholarship is to support Oklahoma high school seniors pursuing a degree within the K-12 education field. Applicants must be Oklahoma high school seniors planning to pursue a degree within the K-12 education field. Students must be pursuing a certified degree in education or directly support the education system which includes but is not limited to the following: teaching, school administration, counseling, librarian, child psychology, occupational therapy (speech, learning disabilities, etc.), dietician or music instruction.
