7 Early Childhood Education Scholarships (April 2026)

The purpose of the Early Childhood Education Scholarship is to encourage students who are pursuing a career as an early education teacher. Applicants must be U.S. citizens or permanent U.S. residents enrolled or accepted to an accredited college or university. Students must be pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree and are planning on becoming an early education teacher. Applicants must have a minimum of 30 semester or 45 quarter hours still to be completed.

The purpose of the Winifred R. Reynolds Educational Scholarship is to support graduate students pursuing a degree related to early childhood education. Applicants must have financial need, be residents of Colorado and have a 3.5 GPA for the graduate work they have completed. Students must be pursuing a graduate degree in early childhood education, child development or an equivalent field.

The purpose of the Walnut Grove Learning Center Early Childhood Scholarship is to support a graduating senior from Miami East high School who will pursue a degree in early childhood education. Applicants must plan to attend a two or four-year degree program and have a minimum 3.0 GPA.

The purpose of the Ann Doherty Helion '73 and John G. Helion '71 Scholarship is to help students who attend or are planning to attend SUNY Cortland. Applicants must be sophomores, juniors or seniors in good academic standing at SUNY Cortland who are enrolled full-time and are majoring in physical education or childhood/early childhood education. Students must have demonstrated financial need as per FAFSA.

The purpose of the Oklahoma Association for the Education of Young Children Scholarship is to support Oklahoma students pursuing degrees in early childhood education, child development or family studies. Applicants must be pursuing undergraduate or graduate degrees in the fields of early childhood education, child development or family studies. Students must be employed in early childhood care/family services settings. Preference will be given to individuals with five or more years work experience in the field of early care and education.

The purpose of the Linda Walls Scholarship is to support New Castle students pursuing a higher education related to early childhood education. Applicants must be graduating seniors from New Castle High School. Students must be pursuing a degree in early childhood or elementary education. Special consideration will be given to those with financial need, intellectual motivation, ability, educational objectives and acceptance into a four-year program at an accredited college or university.

The purpose of the Ryan Wanta Memorial Scholarship is to support students in Wisconsin interested in studying child care or early childhood education. Applicants must be residents of Portage County who are interested or currently enrolled in a child care or early childhood education program. Non-traditional students are encouraged to apply. Selection is based on the strength of the overall application and financial need.
