3 Microbiology Scholarships (December 2025)

The purpose of the Sertoma Club of Greenwood, Dr. Robert L. Hamill Memorial Scholarship is to support a graduating senior from a Johnson County, Indiana, high school, who is planning on studying microbiology, chemistry or biochemistry. Applicants must be planning to attend an accredited public or private university on a full-time basis. Students must demonstrate a commitment to school and community and a good moral character. Applicants must demonstrate academic performance through GPA, class rank and standardized test scores.

The purpose of the NYWEA Major Environmental Career Scholarship is to support New York students who are planning to pursue a bachelor's degree in an environment-related subject. Applicants must be residents of the state of New York and must be high school seniors who plan to enroll full-time in an environment-related bachelor's degree program no later than the fall following graduation. The programs could include but are not limited to environmental engineering, civil engineering with an environmental minor, chemical engineering with an environmental minor, hydrogeology with an environmental emphasis or biology or microbiology with an environmental emphasis. Selection is based on the overall strength of the application.

The purpose of the Charles D. Shepherd Memorial Scholarship is to support female students in Indiana studying life sciences. Applicants must be female students in Bartholomew County who plan to study biochemistry, biology, microbiology or molecular biology at an accredited institution. Selection is based on the strength of the overall application.
