5 Public Health Scholarships (December 2025)

The purpose of the Alice B. Henriquez Memorial Fund Writing Prize is to assist students in the Berkshire Taconic area. Applicants must be seniors at Webutuck Senior High School Amenia who are entering their first year of a two- or four-year nationally accredited college, university or trade school.

The purpose of the ADEA/Sigma Phi Alpha Linda Devore Scholarship is to aid allied dental education students. Applicants must be members of the American Dental Education Association (ADEA) and be enrolled in a dental hygiene, dental education or public health degree program. They must be in good academic standing and demonstrate leadership in dental education or health care. Selection is based on the overall strength of the application.

The purpose of the Annual Prevounce Preventive Health Scholarship is to support undergraduate and graduate students pursuing healthcare careers. Applicants must be undergraduate or graduate students entering or already established in an accredited program at a college or university in the United States. Students must be pursuing careers in healthcare including medicine, nursing or public health. An essay on a provided prompt is required to be submitted.

The purpose of the NEHA/AAS/APU Scholarship Awards is to support students planning careers in environmental health. Applicants must be either undergraduate or graduate students. The undergraduate scholarships are to be used during the junior or senior year at an Environmental Health Accreditation Council (EHAC) or NEHA member school. The graduate scholarship is available to applicants who are enrolled in a graduate program of study in environmental health sciences and/or public health and have at least one semester of coursework remaining.

The purpose of the National Hispanic Health Professional Student Scholarship is to support Hispanic students who are planning to pursue careers in health care. Applicants must be students who are fully enrolled in a postsecondary degree program in medical (allopathic or osteopathic), dentistry, pharmacy, PA, public health or health policy or nursing. Undergraduate BSN students are also eligible to apply. Selection is based on academic achievement, leadership skills and commitment to improving health care in the Hispanic community.
