7 Public Policy Scholarships (January 2026)

The purpose of the NextLevel Student Scholarship is to support students pursuing careers in law, compliance or public policy. Applicants must be undergraduates or graduate students pursuing a career in law, compliance or public policy with a minimum 3.5 GPA. Students must be enrolled in an accredited college or university. A one-minute video is required on a provided prompt.

The purpose of the George H. Nofer Scholarship for Law and Public Policy is to assist graduate students with a moderate to profound hearing loss. Applicants must attend or be accepted to attend full-time an accredited law school or a master's or doctoral program in public policy or public administration and must use spoken language as the primary mode of communication. Students must also have a pre-lingual and bilateral hearing loss. Applications are available online.

The purpose of the Emily M. Hewitt and Stephen K. Stocking Memorial Scholarship is to support students who are committed to communicate a love of nature and an understanding of need to practice conservation. Applicants must be enrolled full-time in an accredited California post-secondary educational institution and must have career goals that are related to communicating and interpreting nature's wonder. Students pursuing degrees in environmental protection, forestry, wildlife and fisheries biology, parks and recreation, park management, environmental law and public policy, environmental art and California history are encouraged to apply. Selection is based on dedication to the ideals of the scholarship and financial need.

The purpose of the Legislative Fellowship is to support full-time graduate students who have a strong interest in public policy. Applicants must have been enrolled in a graduate program the semester prior to the fellowship application period. Applicants must be able to commute to Albany, NY throughout the fellowship and commit to at least 35 hours per week.

The purpose of the AGU Congressional Science Fellowship is to support applicants who are interested in working in the House or Senate with the opportunity to assist members of the House and Senate for one year. Applicants must be members of the American Geophysical Union. Applicants must be citizens or permanent residents of the United States. Applicants should have a strong background in science. Applicants should be strong communicators, articulate, flexible and able to work on a variety of public policy problems with people from diverse backgrounds. Applicants should have finished any doctoral work before the start of the fellowship due to time restraints during the program.

The purpose of the IBTTA Foundation Scholarship Program is to support students who are working towards a transportation-related degree. Applicants must be current undergraduate college students who have completed at least two full semesters of undergraduate coursework or graduate students. Students must be planning to enroll full-time and have a minimum 2.5 GPA. Applicants must be pursuing a degree in one of the following fields: civil engineering, city and regional planning, construction management, public policy or public administration, structural engineering, finance, accounting, information technology, business management, marketing, communications, operations management or other transportation-related degrees.

The purpose of the Dean's Scholarships is to help students who attend or are planning to attend Georgia Institute of Technology-Main Campus. Applicants must be incoming freshmen enrolled full-time with a high school record of academic excellence, visionary leadership, and outstanding public service. Students must enroll in the fall semester in the program of applied languages and intercultural studies (ALIS), computational media (CM), economics (ECON), economics and international affairs (EIA), global economics and modern languages (GEML), history, technology and society (HTS), international affairs (INTA), international affairs and modern languages (IAML), literature, media and communication (LMC) or public policy (PUBP). Applicants must be U.S. citizens.
