5 Scholarships for Seneca Students (December 2025)

The purpose of the Health Professions Pre-Graduate Scholarship Program is to aid Native Americans and Alaska Natives who are enrolled in selected health-related pre-professional degree programs. Applicants must be U.S. citizens who are enrolled in or accepted into a pre-medicine, pre-dentistry, pre-optometry, pre-podiatry or other health-related pre-professional degree program. Applicants must have plans to work in the Native American or Alaska Native community as a health care provider in the chosen field of study. Selection is based on academic achievement, recommendation letters and the applicant's stated career goals. Applicant must have a minimum 2.0 GPA.

The purpose of the Yaple-Kerr Scholarship is to assist students in Erie County. Applicants must be graduating seniors from Seneca High School who were accepted at an accredited school in a certified full-time program. Students must be ranked in the middle third of the senior class.

The purpose of the Sophie Dernar Memorial Scholarship is to assist students in Erie County. Applicants must be four-year members of Seneca High School girls basketball team who exemplify positive attitude and strong team ethic. Students must have a minimum 3.0 GPA.

The purpose of the Raymond M. Blasco, M.D. Scholarship is to assist students in Erie County. Applicants must be graduating seniors from Seneca High School, who are accepted at an accredited school in a certified full-time program.

The purpose of the Coach Dave Gray Scholarship Fund is to assist students in the Pittsburgh area. Applicants must attend high school in North Allegheny County, Pine Richland, Mars, Avonworth, North Hills and Seneca Valley High Schools as a graduating senior. Students must demonstrate financial need and have a minimum GPA of 3.0.
