6 Scholarships in Bay County, MI (December 2025)

The purpose of the Daniel B. MacKenzie Memorial Scholarship is to encourage students from Western High School in Michigan. Applicants must be a resident of Bay County, be in their senior year of high school and preferably be participating in a varsity sport. Students must have a minimum 3.0 GPA, be a full-time student and submit a FAFSA to demonstrate financial need. Applicants must submit two letters of recommendation, a current transcript, a personal essay and an acceptable portrait photo as a JPEG or PNG along with their application.

The purpose of the Elizabeth C. Heath Scholarship is to support students from the Bay County area in Michigan. Applicants must be completing the last year of an associate's or bachelor's degree, have a minimum 3.0 GPA and submit a FAFSA demonstrating financial need. Students must submit two letters of recommendation, a current transcript, a personal essay and an acceptable portrait photo as a JPEG or PNG along with their application.

The purpose of the Michael A. Majchrzak Memorial Educational Scholarship is to support students from Bay County who wish to pursue a post-secondary education at a Michigan college or university. Applicants must submit a FAFSA to demonstrate financial need, be a Bay City Western High School senior or recent graduate and preferably be an athlete of a varsity sport during their senior year. Students prove solid academic ability and submit two letters of recommendation, a current transcript, a personal essay and an acceptable portrait photo as a JPEG or PNG along with their application.

The purpose of the Dorothy I. Piering Scholarship Fund is to support financially challenged graduating seniors of All Saints High School or Bay City Western High School (Michigan) who wish to go to college. Applicants must be full-time students and residents of Bay County who have maintained a GPA of at least 3.0. Selection criteria favor students interested in secretarial, legal or paralegal fields. Former awardees may reapply.

The purpose of the Handy Intermediate Booster's Scholarship is to support students who have attended Handy Intermediate in their pursuit of post-secondary education. Applicants must have resided in Bay County, attended Handy Intermediate for a minimum of one school year and been accepted to an accredited college, university or technical school in Michigan. Students must have a minimum 3.0 GPA with priority given to students in their senior year at the time of submission. Applicants must submit two letters of recommendation, a FAFSA application, a current transcript, a personal essay and an acceptable portrait photo as a JPEG or PNG along with their application.

The purpose of the Jeanine Laura Zelnis Memorial Educational Fund is to support graduating seniors of Bay City Central High School (Michigan). Applicants must be a Bay County resident, attending school full-time with a GPA of at least 2.5 and provide evidence of having played an active role in their school and/or community. Selection criteria favor Homecoming Court electees.
