12 Public Relations Scholarships (April 2026)

The purpose of the Stephen D. Pisinski Memorial Scholarship is to aid journalism, public relations and communications students. Applicants must be members of the Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA). They must be rising undergraduate juniors or seniors who are majoring in journalism, public relations or communications. They must have a cumulative GPA of 3.3 or higher on a four-point scale. Selection is based on the overall strength of the application.

The purpose of the Chester Burger Scholarship for Excellence in Public Relations is to encourage public relations and journalism graduate students to pursue careers in corporate public relations. Applicants must be entering or current graduate students at a U.S. college or university. They must be majoring in journalism, public relations or a related field. They must have an undergraduate GPA of 3.0 or higher on a four-point scale and be interested in pursuing a career in corporate public relations. Selection is based on the overall strength of the application.

The purpose of the John D. Graham Scholarship is to aid journalism and public relations students. Applicants must be rising undergraduate seniors who are enrolled in a journalism or public relations degree program. Selection is based on academic merit, leadership, writing ability, relevant work experience and stated career goals.

The purpose of the Farmers Mutual Hail Insurance Company of Iowa is to support students who are FFA members working toward two or four-year degrees in specific areas of agriculture. Applicants must be working toward degrees in one of the following areas of agriculture: agronomy, crop science, agricultural communications, education, journalism, extension, public relations, business management, economics, finance, sales, marketing, plant pathology, plant breeding, plant genetics, soil science, soil conservation, water conservation or public service and administration. Applicants must be residents of Arkansas, California, Colorado, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, New Mexico, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia or Wisconsin. A minimum GPA of 2.5 is required. Selection is based on the overall strength of the application.

The purpose of the Gary Yoshimura Scholarship is to assist public relations students. Applicants must be PRSSA members with a minimum 3.0 GPA in the pursuit of higher education in the public relations field. Applicants must submit an essay on personal or professional challenges and a statement on financial need.

The purpose of the LAGRANT Scholarship Program is to support minority students who are seeking degrees in advertising, graphic design, marketing or public relations. Applicants must be African American/Black, Asian American/Pacific Islander, Hispanic/Latino or Native American/Alaskan Native. Students must be U.S. citizens, permanent residents, AB-540 students or DACA recipients. Applicants must be full-time students at an accredited four-year institution in the U.S. A minimum 3.0 GPA or higher is required. Students must submit an essay with their application.

The purpose of the PenSPRA Scholarship is to support Pennsylvania students pursuing a career in the communications field. Applicants must be Pennsylvania public high school students with a 3.0 GPA who are pursuing a degree in communications or a related field such as public relations, journalism, English, advertising or graphic arts. Students must have been accepted to or applied to a college, university, technical school or other institution of higher learning. Applicants must live within one of PenSPRA's three regions (Eastern, Central and Western).

The purpose of the Ron Culp Scholarship for Mentorship is to aid public relations and journalism students who have mentored others wishing to pursue careers in public relations. Applicants must be members of the Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA) who are in good standing. They must be rising undergraduate seniors who are majoring in journalism, public relations or a related subject at an accredited, four-year postsecondary institution. They must be preparing for careers in public relations and must have mentored others who intend to pursue careers in the field of public relations. Selection is based on the overall strength of the application.

The purpose of the Betsy Plank/PRSSA Scholarship is to assist public relations students. Applicants must be PRSSA members enrolled in an undergraduate public relations program and be college juniors or seniors. Eligible students may be nominated from each PRSSA chapter. Selection is based on academic achievement, leadership, experience and commitment to public relations. Applicants need to include a 300-word statement of commitment to public relations.

The purpose of the Lawrence G. Foster Award for Excellence in Public Relations is to assist public relations students. Applicants must be undergraduate students majoring in public relations who are committed to careers in public relations and must be PRSSA members. Applicants must submit an essay on what excellence in public relations is and how they plan to achieve excellence in their own careers.

The purpose of the Women in Sports Media Scholarship/Internship Program is to encourage females interested in sports media careers. Applicants must be female students working full-time toward a graduate or undergraduate degree with the goal of becoming a sports writer, editor, broadcaster or public relations representative. Applicants must submit a resume, an essay on a memorable experience in sports or sports media, three references, two letters of recommendation and up to five samples of their work. Application fee is waived for AWSM members.

The purpose of the Jim Springer Memorial Scholarship is to support full-time college sophomores, juniors or seniors majoring in public relations, marketing, advertising or communications, who are permanent residents of the CBCF seven-county service area. Applicants must be current college students at sophomore level or above.
