About This Scholarship

The purpose of the American Society of Crime Laboratory Directors Scholarship Program is to help students who are enrolled in a forensics-related degree program and who plan to pursue a career in the forensics field. Applicants must be rising undergraduate juniors, rising undergraduate seniors or graduate students who are enrolled in a degree program in forensic science, forensic chemistry or a related physical or natural science. They must attend an accredited university and must be interested in pursuing a career in the field of forensics. Preference is given to students who are enrolled in degree programs accredited by the Forensic Science Education Program Accreditation Commission (FEPAC). Selection is based on overall academic achievement, achievement in forensics coursework, personal statement, level of interest in forensics careers and recommendation letter.
