The Black Alumni Group (BAG) Book/Supplies Stipend Scholarship is a $250+, merit-based, essay-based, and renewable award for full-time and African American students in Alabama, Alaska, Arizona, and more. The establishment of the Book Stipend Grant offers the opportunity for the Black Alumni Group, (BAG), to financially assist Black undergraduate students currently attending Southern Illinois University Carbondale. The purpose of the Black Stipend Grant is to be able to assist undergraduate students at the beginning of the semester to purchase their required books and school supplies while enrolled at Southern Illinois University. The 2020-2021 Black Alumni Group Executive Board has allocated grant awards at $250 each during their term. The grants will be awarded at the beginning of the fall 2021 semester. The book grant is available to undergraduate students only.
