About This Scholarship

The purpose of the Boren Fellowship is to award students who desire to study abroad in preparation for a career in U.S. national security. Applicants must be U.S. citizens, be graduate students and study abroad for three to six months in programs with preference for science, technology, engineering and mathematics. Strong preference is given to applicants who participate in programs for six months or longer and would like to work in federal government. Selection is based on the overall strength of the application.
