What is the Connecticut Pledge Scholarship?

The Connecticut Pledge Scholarship is a $3,000+, need-based, merit-based, and renewable award for full-time students in Alabama, Alaska, Arizona, and more. Beginning with the Fall term of 2020, eligible Connecticut first-year students may qualify for the $3,000 Connecticut Pledge Scholarship, renewable for four years. The scholarship will be added to any merit and need-based scholarships offered by the University. Eligibility Details: Admitted to the University of Hartford as a full-time, first time undergraduate (freshman) beginning with the Fall 2020 term. Submit Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) by the FAFSA Priority Deadline of Feb. 15. Family income is below $50,000 and is defined as adjusted gross income of the student and parent, as reported on the FAFSA. This is subject to verification. Renewable for four years if student is making satisfactory academic progress, as defined by their school/college. Total financial aid awards may not exceed the student’s cost of attendance. Eligibility will be automatically determined at the point of financial aid awarding. No additional forms are needed.
