About This Scholarship

The purpose of the Duane M. Hanson Scholarship is to support engineering students pursuing a degree that will prepare them for an HVAC&R profession. Applicants must be enrolled in a full-time undergraduate engineering program of study traditionally designed to prepare students for a career in HVAC&R professions. Students must have GPA of at least 3.0. Applicants must also meet at least one of three criteria: undergraduate institution hosts a recognized ASHRAE student branch, program of study is accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET), program of study is accredited by an agency outside the U.S. that is a signatory of the Washington Accord or has a signed Memorandum of Understanding with ABET.
