The mission of FIRST is to expose and attract new students to the fields of engineering and science – a necessity of critical national importance. This mission is significantly aligned with that of The University of Hartford.In partnership with FIRST, the University of Hartford will annually award five University of Hartford’s FIRST Robotics Scholarships in the amount of $2,000 along with qualified University merit scholarships. This will be awarded to high school seniors who were members of a FIRST Robotics Challenge or First Technical Challenge team for at least 2 years during high school. Along with FIRST participation, to be considered for this scholarship opportunity students must: Be admitted into any program offered by the College of Engineering, Technology, and Architecture at the University of Hartford Meet the academic requirements for the University’s Regents or President’s Scholarship as outlined by the University Bulletin Reside in the continental United States. The scholarship is renewable annually for a maximum of four years according to the academic scholarship policies described in the University’s Undergraduate Bulletin.
