About This Scholarship

The purpose of the Great Lakes Safety Training Center Scholarship is to reward students who intend to pursue careers in trade or construction with a focus on safety. Applicants must be a resident or graduate from Bay or Arenac county and have a minimum 2.5 GPA. Students must have a declared major in trades, manufacturing or construction with a focus on safety, satisfy academic performance criteria and demonstrate a passion for the intended field of study. Applicants must submit two letters of recommendation, a FAFSA application, a current transcript, a personal essay and an acceptable portrait photo as a JPEG or PNG along with their application.
