The purpose of the Ironworkers Local 584 Harvey A. Swift Scholarship is to support students who are related to members of Iron Workers Local 584. Applicants must be graduating with a grade point average of 3.0 or greater. Students must be the children, adopted children, stepchildren, grandchildren, adopted grandchildren and step-grandchildren of a member or deceased member of Iron Workers Local 584. Applicants must provide the union name and number, the member's name and their familial relationship to the member, contact information for someone who can serve as a reference of recommendation and an essay describing how the American Labor Movement has elevated the standard of living for the working class.
