The purpose of the LITA/OCLC Minority Scholarship in Library and Information Technology is to support minority students pursuing an advanced degree in library science. Applicants must be U.S. or Canadian citizens and qualified members of a principal minority group (American Indian or Alaskan Native, Asian or Pacific Islander, African-American or Hispanic) who are enrolled in an accredited master of library science program. Students must demonstrate a commitment to automated system usage in libraries and provide a statement of their library experience and anticipated contribution to the field. Applicants must not have earned more than 12 credit hours towards their degree.
