About This Scholarship

The purpose of the MexAustin IME/Beccas Scholarship is to support Latino students in Central Texas who want to pursue a higher education. Applicants must be first time college students in the fall and be from one of the following Texas counties: Bastrop, Bell, Blanco, Brown, Burnet, Caldwell, Coryell, Comanche, Coleman, Falls, Fayette, Hamilton, Hays, Llano, Lampasas, Lee, McLennan, Milam, Mills, Limestone, San Saba, Travis or Williamson. A minimum 2.5 GPA is required. Students must be Mexican immigrants, children of Mexican immigrants, Latino immigrants (other than Mexican) or children of Latino immigrants. Proof of financial need is required.
