About This Scholarship

The purpose of the Michael A. DeMayo Scholarship is to aid college-bound high school seniors who live in North Carolina and South Carolina counties served by the Michael A. DeMayo law firm. Applicants must be graduating high school seniors who live in one of the following North Carolina or South Carolina counties: Mecklenburg, Gaston, Catawba, Union, Cabarrus, Cleveland, Lincoln, Rowan, Caldwell, Stanly, Iredell, Alexander, Burke, Robeson, Scotland, Richmond, Anson, Cumberland, York, Lancaster, Chesterfield, Marlboro or Dillon. They must be accepted at or planning to attend an accredited four-year college or university. They must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher. They must submit a written or recorded presentation on the dangers of drunk driving along with their applications. Selection is based on academic achievement, standardized test scores, extracurricular activities and presentation.
