The National Institute of Health Undergraduate Scholarship is a need-based, merit-based, and renewable award for full-time students in Alabama, Alaska, Arizona, and more. Winners receive up to $20,000 per academic year towards undergraduate tuition, educational expenses, and living expenses. For each year of the scholarship, the student will complete a 10 week paid internship and commits to working for 1 year in a NIH research laboratory. Candidate Profile Applicants should demonstrate a commitment to a research career that can be evidenced through prior lab research, prior involvement in extracurricular science activities, or having taken advanced courses that are relevant to the chosen field. Applicants should have exceptional need and be willing to work for NIH upon graduation.
