The purpose of the New York Legion Auxiliary Department Scholarship is to assist students whose parents, grandparents or great-grandparents served in the Armed Forces during wartime. Applicants must be children, grandchildren or great-grandchildren of veterans who served in the Armed Forces during World War I, World War II, the Korean Conflict, the Vietnam War, Grenada/Lebanon, Panama, the Persian Gulf or War on Terrorism. Students must be high school seniors or graduates and be New York State residents and U.S. citizens.
