The purpose of the Paraprofessional Scholarship is to increase the number of trained and qualified library technicians in Southern California. Applicants must be classified library media workers currently enrolled in a two-year paraprofessional program to become a certified library technician. Students must be Southern California residents planning to work in California as library media technicians after completing the program and be members of the California School Library Association. Three letters of recommendation are required.
