When applying for scholarships, you should NEVER have to pay to apply. You should also NEVER have to provide sensitive personal information like your Social Security Number (SSN). If membership is required to apply, the membership should ALWAYS BE FREE. Basically, NEVER PAY FOR ANYTHING. Those are scams! Some scholarships may ask for your address or proof of enrollment. That's fine, but always verify you're actually talking to the scholarship provider and not an imposter. Scams in scholarships are rampant, be careful! When clicking on the button to apply, you will leave Scholarships That Work and go to the application page for that organization outside this site. Frequently Asked Questions

What is the Patricia Cassin-Graft Student Teaching Assistance Fund Scholarship?

The Patricia Cassin-Graft Student Teaching Assistance Fund Scholarship is a Veterinary Studies, Veterinarian, Dietetics, Phlebotomy, $4,000+, merit-based, and essay-based award for full-time and part-time students in Alabama, Alaska, Arizona, and more. National Louis University awards the following scholarships to qualified undergraduate (seeking a bachelor's degree) and graduate students. You don’t need to apply separately for most of these scholarships. They are automatically awarded based on the information in your admissions application and on your FAFSA. Please note that most NLU resources are limited to 10% of the tuition charges assessed per term. Students are only eligible to receive one NLU resource per academic year. The only exception to this policy is students who are awarded one of our institutional merit-based donor scholarships. NLU scholarships can only be used to cover tuition costs and are not refundable to the student. Students who receive additional resources that cover tuition costs, such as employer reimbursement or outside scholarships for college, may not be eligible for these awards. Patricia Cassin-Graft, Class of 1957, and Michael J. Graft, Sr. have established the Patricia Cassin-Graft Student Teacher Assistance Fund at National Louis University. The fund is a permanent endowment that has been funded by generous donations from the Graft family and other donors. The fund is meant to assist candidates who are dedicated to teaching in under-served schools, who face financial stress and who recognize the importance of the philanthropic values that have made these funds available. Currently, the committee seeks to assist graduate or undergraduate candidates who are about to complete their final term of student teaching requirements. This scholarship can provide funds of over $4,000 to cover the cost of tuition for the student’s student teaching term. The fund does not provide cash awards. Recipients of the award receive a credit to their account at National Louis University to offset the cost of tuition during their final term of student teaching.
