The ESPN Scholarship is a $3,750+, essay-based, and renewable award for African American students in Alabama, Alaska, Arizona, and more. The Alliance for Women in Media Foundation (AWMF) is partnering with ESPN to help pave the way for Black women in the sports media industry. ESPNβs $10,000 donation to AWMF will provide two $3,750 educational scholarships, for the 2021 spring semester, to one promising Black female graduate student and one Black female junior or senior undergraduate student, pursuing careers in sports media. The deadline to apply is November 20, 2020. Each winning student will also receive a complimentary ticket to attend the Gracies Luncheon event in June 2021. In addition, the winning students will write up to two blog posts to be published on the AWM website.
The Alliance for Women in Media Foundation is providing The ESPN Scholarship to African American students this year. the Alliance for Women in Media Foundation is located in Lexington, Kentucky.
African American students who live or attend school in Alabama, Alaska, Arizona, and more are eligible to apply for The ESPN Scholarship.
The ESPN Scholarship offers students a $3,750 award, and winners can renew the award each semester.
