About This Scholarship

The purpose of the Veterans Tuition Awards is to assist veterans in obtaining higher education. Applicants must be veterans from New York State who have been honorably discharged and served in Indochina between December 22, 1961 and May 7, 1975, the Persian Gulf on or after August 2, 1990 or Afghanistan on or after September 11, 2001. Applicants must also have applied for the Tuition Assistant Program if studying full-time and the Federal Pell Grant whether studying full-time or part-time, unless enrolled in a vocational training program.
