5 Science Education Scholarships (December 2025)

The purpose of the Memorial Classic Golf Tournament Scholarship is to help students continue their education in funeral service and mortuary science education. Applicants must be enrolled full- or part-time in an American Board of Funeral Service Education accredited program. Selection is based on the overall strength of the application.

The purpose of the Shipley Rose Buckner Memorial Scholarship is to aid female Tennessee students with tuition costs of mortuary science education programs. Applicants must be enrolled as a funeral service student full- or part-time in an American Board of Funeral Service Education accredited program. Selection is based on the overall strength of the application.

The purpose of the National Scholarship Program is to assist students enrolled in funeral service or mortuary science programs. Applicants must be undergraduate students who have completed at least one semester or quarter of study in funeral service or mortuary science education at an accredited school and have at least one term remaining in their study. Applicants must be U.S. citizens.

The purpose of the James C. and Madeline K. Holmes Scholarship is to assist students in the Cape Coral Florida area. Applicants must be graduating high school seniors in Cape Coral who wants to pursue post-secondary science education. Students must attend an accredited institution of higher learning with a minimum 3.5 GPA.

The purpose of the American Society of Crime Laboratory Directors Scholarship Program is to help students who are enrolled in a forensics-related degree program and who plan to pursue a career in the forensics field. Applicants must be rising undergraduate juniors, rising undergraduate seniors or graduate students who are enrolled in a degree program in forensic science, forensic chemistry or a related physical or natural science. They must attend an accredited university and must be interested in pursuing a career in the field of forensics. Preference is given to students who are enrolled in degree programs accredited by the Forensic Science Education Program Accreditation Commission (FEPAC). Selection is based on overall academic achievement, achievement in forensics coursework, personal statement, level of interest in forensics careers and recommendation letter.
