About This Scholarship

The purpose of the Americorps National Civilian Community Corps is to strengthen communities and develop leaders through community service. Applicants must be U.S. citizens who are between 18 and 26 years of age. Recipients must live on one of five AmeriCorps campuses in Denver, Colorado; Sacramento, California; Baltimore, Maryland; Vinton, Iowa or Vicksburg, Mississippi. Applicants must commit to 10 months of service on projects in areas such as education, public safety, the environment and other unmet needs. The projects are located within the region of one of the four campuses.
