The purpose of the Cathay Bank Foundation Scholarship is to assist low-income students to pursue higher education. Applicants must be high school seniors residing in California, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Texas or Washington who are enrolling as first-year students in an accredited four-year college in one of the listed states of residency. Students must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 and have a household income that falls at or below the low-income level. There is no ethnicity requirement.
