About This Scholarship

The purpose of the Guistwhite Scholarships is to aid Phi Theta Kappa members who plan to pursue bachelor's degrees. Applicants must be active members of Phi Theta Kappa who will remain enrolled at a community college through December of the application year. They must have completed at least 30 semester credits (or 45 quarter credits) over the past five years and must have maintained a GPA of 3.5 or higher on a four-point scale over the past five years. Students must have plans to transfer to a four-year postsecondary institution during the calendar year following the submission of the scholarship application and must have junior status at the time of transfer. Applicants must have a community college record that is free of any disciplinary action and must not have a criminal record. Selection is based on academic merit and Phi Theta Kappa participation.
