The purpose of the Herbert Hoover Uncommon Student Award is to honor Herbert Hoover by rewarding students who live up to his ideal of the "uncommon man." Applicants must be juniors in an Iowa high school or be homeschooled. Students must submit a project proposal and two letters of recommendation.
