About This Scholarship

The purpose of the Steel Intern Scholarships is to reward students who commit to a paid summer internship at a North American or steel-related company. Applicants must citizens of a NAFTA country (USA, Canada, Mexico) and express a strong interest in the iron and steel industry. Students in the following engineering/engineering technology majors may apply: metallurgy, materials science, electrical, mechanical, chemical, industrial, environmental, computer science, data science and safety. Applicants must be freshmen, sophomores, juniors or seniors planning to attend graduate school. Students must be enrolled full-time in a four-year undergraduate or graduate program at an accredited North American university with a minimum 2.5 GPA.
