The purpose of the Stephanie G. Hoffman Scholarship Fund is to support Jewish students who are pursuing a post-secondary education with a focus on library science, English literature and other related fields. Applicants must be Jewish undergraduate or graduate students, demonstrate an interest in using reading to inspire underserved children to attend college and major in library science, English literature or other related fields. Students must have a minimum 3.0 GPA, have parents who are permanent residents of the San Francisco Bay area if they're an undergraduate degree seeker or be a permanent resident of the San Francisco Bay area if they're a graduate degree seeker. Students must submit a personal essay using 1,000 words, demonstrate financial need and provide two letters of recommendation.
